Richard Allan Kaye is a member of the Business Transactions, Corporate and Taxation practice group of Taylor English. His practice is focused in the areas of commercial and corporate law, specifically domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, business formations, international joint ventures and partnering agreements, foreign investment, commercial and trade transactions, complex commercial contracts, land development transactions and global services and products agreements (including software licensing and implementation agreements), manufacturing, agency and distribution agreements. His international experience includes representing multi-national corporations, governmental entities, and emerging businesses in international corporate and litigation matters.

Mr. Kaye began his career clerking with the Washington-based Duncan Allen & Mitchell in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, in 1982. Upon graduation from Emory University School of Law, he continued his international career with Thieffry & Associès in Paris in 1983, followed by Price Waterhouse Coopers where he fulfilled the practice requirements for the French professional designation of Conseil Juridique.

Since 1989, Mr. Kaye has represented numerous European and Asian clients with respect to their U.S. operations. Although his practice is focused on transactional work in the United States, he has handled many complex acquisitions, dispositions, investments, real estate transactions, construction and other projects abroad. His practice has followed his clients’ globalization closely and their movement toward the Asian markets.
