Mike Sullivan is a member of the firm’s Business Transaction, Corporate & Taxation Group.  He is a trusted advisor and helps clients grow their business and profits in a variety of transactions, including complex Non-Disclosure Agreements, Employment and Non-Compete Agreements, Buy-Sell Agreements, and all forms of business and commercial Agreements and Contracts.

Mike’s principal areas of concentration include general corporate, commercial and business matters, family-business law, financial matters, and mergers & acquisitions.  He advises both for-profit and non-profit clients.  He has represented start-up, growth and mature company clients.  He has worked with CPAs and tax experts to advise clients on their legal structure when entering new International markets, and has negotiated and closed numerous cross-border transactions for clients.

He has represented clients in private placements of equity and debt securities, venture capital investments, project finance, and joint venture transactions.  He has assisted family-owned clients in establishing advisory Boards, and in planning and implementing succession and estate plans.

Mr. Sullivan has prepared for advising his clients by working in private-practice and as an inside lawyer with a variety of companies --- small and large, public and private, high-and low-tech, domestic and International.  He started his legal career with Sullivan & Cromwell, a large International Wall Street law firm.  He left S&C to do corporate work for one if its clients and remained as Inside Counsel in a series of increasingly responsible positions until returning to private practice in 2004.  Immediately before returning to private practice he was Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Chief Legal Officer for Sanmina-SCI Corporation, a Fortune 200 Company headquartered in San Jose, California, and a publicly-traded Global electronic products manufacturing company with 60,000 employees in 23 countries.
