Foy Devine chairs the Taylor English Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice group. Since 1969, Mr. Devine has concentrated his practice in civil trial work. He has handled business litigation of all types, as well as catastrophic personal injury and death cases arising out of product related injuries. He has frequently appeared in state and federal appellate courts. He is AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell, and has been selected as a Georgia Super Lawyer for several years. Mr. Devine has served on the State Bar of Georgia Board of Governors since 1988. He has also served on various committees and chaired the Advisory Committee on Legislation. In 1990-1991, he was President of the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association. As President, Mr. Devine was the principal driver behind a state wide program to increase public education regarding the civil justice system.

  • Representation of AirTran Airlines, formerly known as ValuJet, in recovering by confidential settlement during trial, business profits lost as a result of the crash near Miami from SabreTech and its parent company, Sabreliner Corporation
  • Recovery by verdict of $9.3 million from Ford Motor Company, including $8 million in punitive damages, for the burn injury and death of a teen-age girl who was riding as a passenger in a Mustang II automobile that was struck in the rear
  • Recovery by verdict of $5.6 million for an airline pilot who was paralyzed from the waist down as a result of negligent anesthesia care during routine hernia surgery
  • Recovery by verdict of $4.5 million for a couple injured in a tractor-trailer incident near Brunswick, Georgia
  • Recovery of a multi-million dollar confidential settlement for a construction worker who was paralyzed from the waist down as a result of being forced off a building by a crane
  • Recovery of a multi-million dollar confidential settlement for a child with severe burns on her upper body and face while playing with a lighter with a faulty safety latch
